Clearly Filtered, Inc. started in 2011 with its “mission to provide people with the tools to take control of their water and live healthier lives“.
Today, the company which is based in Rancho Santa Margarita, CA has provided these tools to people living in more than 50 countries on 6 different continents.
In this review series, we are going to take a look at:
The Clearly Filtered water filter pitcher is the best of its kind. It’s tested to remove 365+ contaminants, more than any other unit on the market, including chlorine (99.5%), chloramine (99.7%), fluoride (99.5%), lead (99.3%), pharmaceutical drugs (up to 99.9%), dozens of herbicides and pesticides, chemicals like PFOA, and more than 100 volatile compounds (the vast majority to 99.9%) – and this is only an excerpt!
Meanwhile, healthy minerals are kept in the water adding to your daily nutritional intake.
Other than that, the pitcher is easy to use and refill, it can hold the standard 10 cups of filtered water which is enough for family use, and you get a 30-day satisfaction guarantee. The latter allows you to send the pitcher back for a full refund if you don’t like it. Plus, if the pitcher ever breaks Clearly Filtered will replace it free of charge (not in case of improper use).
Filtration capacity: 100 gallons per cartridge or around 4 months on average – much more than what you get with most of the competition.

Alexa has documented the entire process and shares her opinion in the video below:
After setting up the pitcher and using it for a while we really liked this pitcher (…). It tastes really good, it pours easily, it was easy to set up, and I like how it looks on the counter. So it gets 5 stars in my book.

2. Best for Under the Sink: Clearly Filtered 3-Stage Under Sink Filtration System
Just like the Clearly Filtered pitcher, the Clearly Filtered 3-stage under sink filtration system provides you with highly pure, safe, and refreshing water, but this time right from your kitchen faucet.
Again, over 230 potential contaminants can be removed. Apart from chlorine, chloramines, lead, and fluoride, the unit takes care of aluminum (95.2%), chromium 6 (99.4%), TTHMs (99.6%), PFOA (99.6%), and radiological impurities among other pollutants.
As we’re already used to, the sophisticated filtration process has been tested and verified by EPA-accredited laboratories against NSF standards 42, 53 and 401 – some of the best test results we have ever seen!

System is built in USA with durable stainless steel hoses

As part of the BOS team, Alexa has installed and tested the Clearly Filtered Under-the-Sink Water Filter System in her own home and with her own hands. She has used the system for several weeks to gather genuine first-hand experience. And most importantly, Alexa has documented the entire process, including her findings and personal opinion, in the video below:
I’m going to give this a 5-star because I think that this it is the nicest product you can get for under-the-sink filter. I can’t believe how much different it made my tap water taste coming out of the faucet. (…) on top of that it was super easy to install and I could do it myself.
3. Best for On the Go: Clearly Filtered Filter Water Bottles
Clearly Filtered offers three different water filter bottles:
The durable stainless steel bottle is insulated to keep 20 ounces of water cold for up to 24 hours.
The Tritan plastic bottle can hold up to 24 ounces of water.
The borosilicate glass bottle holds 20 ounces of water just like the stainless steel version but it’s more delicate and not really suited for kids.
All bottles apply the same filtration technology tested according to NSF standards to remove more than 220 contaminants from tap water: Fluoride, chlorine and chloramines, herbicides, lead, mercury, about two dozen pharmaceuticals – you name it!
In other words, they’re among the best if not the best water filter bottles in terms of contaminant removal. And they’re so easy to use, too. All you have to do is fill them with water which you then suck through the filter straw.
The filters are rated at 25 gallons or 6 months of use, whichever comes first. However, one cartridge can last for as long as 100 gallons, says Clearly Filtered.
Being an integral member of our team, Alexa has tested 2 Clearly Filtered Water Bottles for us. Which means Alexa has ordered, primed, and used both bottles in her day-to-day life for several weeks to gain some first-hand experience. She shares her findings and personal verdict in the video below:
In my opinion, the best part about this water bottle is that it does remove the most contaminants out of any water bottle on the market. (…) So I give it a 5-star for what the product is; I’m only giving it a 4-star for my personal use of it.

Hey Logan,
I would guess so, although micro plastics are not included in the test data. That said, they are much, much larger than all the other contaminants that the bottle filters can remove.
